“Well, Alexander failed to find me fascinating when I met with him for ‘Sideways,’ which I have not yet let go,” George Clooney joked at the press conference I attended, on October 16, for his new movie “The Descendants,” directed by Alexander Payne.  The press conference took place at the Elinor Bunin Film Center, part of the Film Society of Lincoln Center.  “The Descendants” opened on November 16.
