In addition to being a film critic on line, Seth Shire is the film critic for the “Town & Village” newspaper. Seth also teaches various sociology classes at CUNY Queens College, in which films play a big part. For many years Seth Shire worked in the New York film industry as a post production supervisor of feature films. Highlights include working on the films of Martin Scorsese (“Casino”), James Toback (“Black and White,” “Harvard Man”) and Spike Lee (“DROP Squad,” “The Kings of Comedy”). Seth has also taught at the New York Film Academy and Parsons School of Design.
